Femoral Resection Illustration (Work-in-Progress)

I often have requests to help physicians and researchers with graphics to accompany their academic papers or articles published in journals. Currently, I'm working with a surgeon on a femoral resection illustration. He supplied me with the first two images below and a draft of his article being published in September. I am in the process of creating what he needs in vector format. The third image below shows the current draft. The surgeon will mark it up with specific modifications to support his writing.
