CHANGING THE DNA OF CANCER CARE
This community report required collaboration with multiple departments within Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) and its fundraising arm, Huntsman Cancer Foundation (HCF). Working with patients and staff to develop content and imagery, I managed the process of proofing stories in spreads to my colleagues for approval while maintaining a printable file for this 80-page, perfect-bound book. We splurged by using large images that jumped the gutter on our spreads which required bleeds be handled in a certain way for our third-party printer. So, I created InDesign files for the spreads that linked to a master print file for the project. This enabled our editors to access content simultaneously while maintaining a single printable document. We also used a custom die for the cover that created a fold-out flap revealing the major expansion of HCI's facilities.
