INK Show 2016
Alumni of the Visual Art & Design program at Salt Lake Community College have stayed in touch by connecting on social media groups and regularly volunteering our time in the classroom. Alumni return each semester to present professional work, help with student critiques, play the role of client, and offer industry insight and knowledge. For this annual show, alumni were asked to present a work from our professional lives illustrating the process we use to design. I chose to present two types of medical graphics I have created. My process starts when a client sends me a sketch or reference image and then explains to me what they are trying to communicate. My role is to then create original artwork we can claim the rights to use in publications and patient care materials.
